Working hard to keep you working — for Keith Jacob this is more than a company motto, it is a promise he makes on a daily basis to his employees and clients at St. Louis Staffing. Keith founded the company in 1996 on the concept of providing meaningful employment for select workers and qualified employees for the companies that hire them.

Keith manages the operations of the entire company with the assistance of an advisory board. The company currently includes four offices across Missouri in St. Louis, Arnold, Hannibal and Mexico.

During that last 20 years, Keith has led St. Louis Staffing to a steady increase in growth from $850,000 in revenue its first year to $15 million at its peak. St. Louis Staffing offers commercial staffing (industrial and clerical), Accounting and Finance staffing, Human Resource staffing and other placement services including direct hire and recruitment process outsourcing service.

Keith has received numerous accolades for his achievements with St. Louis Staffing including being named one of the St. Louis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40″ and “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” by the St. Louis chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He has twice been a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and St. Louis Staffing consistently ranks among the top 25 staffing companies in the St. Louis Business Journal.

Giving back to the community is an important part of Keith’s legacy. For more than six years now, Keith has been a board member with the Belle Center, a nonprofit group dedicated to supporting the interests of children with disabilities and their families, and promoting the rights and expectations of all children to be fully included in the community. He also serves on the board of the Missouri Retailers Insurance Trust which provides workers’ compensation insurance to more than 80 small businesses throughout the state. He was named the Working Chairperson for the Capital Building Campaign for Southside Early Childhood. Recently he was selected for the 2014-2015 class of Leadership St. Louis by FOCUS St. Louis.

Prior to founding St. Louis Staffing, Keith worked for Lanter Company in warehouse and distribution management where one of his main responsibilities was supervising staff and purchasing temporary staffing contracts for the firm. Before joining Lanter, Keith was a district manager for Pepsi. Keith is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a degree in marketing.
